Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in providing essential repairs & maintenance services at our facilities. This role is crucial in ensuring that our environment remains safe and functional for both staff and clients, supporting our mission of recovery and education.
Hours:
Monday - Friday from 9:00am - 5:00pm
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections of the buildings & grounds.
- Schedule & oversee routine inspections of the buildings & grounds by outside inspectors when needed.
- Oversee, inspect & Schedule repairs for HVAC, plumbing, electrical & mechanical systems, windows, doors, roofs, gutters, etc.
- Complete all maintenance assignments for the properties assigned, including minor carpentry, painting, plumbing & other projects.
- Maintain landscaping of the properties assigned, including cutting grass, killing weeds, trimming shrubs & trees, planting grass seed & trees, etc., and / or oversee this service with a contracted professional landscaper.
- Keep exterior grounds free & clear of all debris, snow, leaves, etc.
- Inspect recreational areas & equipment for maintenance required.
- Eliminate safety hazards when possible; report all safety issues to immediate supervisor in a timely manner.
- Use tools in a safe & proper manner. Maintain all tools & equipment in a safe, secure work environment.
- Assist & monitor contractors in renovation / building projects.
- Run errands & make trips in order to obtain necessary equipment & supplies.
Qualifications:
- Workmen's level competence in maintenance & construction tasks, processes & basic tools.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills & knowledge.
- Ability to read, write & communicate effectively.
- Ability to establish & maintain working relationships with other staff, agencies, the public & the clients.
- Ability to maintain a valid driver's license.
- High school diploma
- Two years' experience in a related field.
Type of Position:
This is a full-time position with no supervisor responsibilities.
