Job Description
Dock 17 is seeking a skilled, versatile, and detail-oriented Cook to support our kitchen team. This role is essential to our daily operations, combining food prep / line responsibilities with maintaining a clean, efficient, and well-run kitchen environment. What You’ll Do
Prep & Kitchen Support Responsibilities
Assist with daily food preparation to support kitchen operations
Maintain organized workstations and ensure ingredients are stocked
Assist with unloading deliveries and restocking items
Ensure clean dishes, pots, pans, and flatware are always available
Clear the dish window and properly store clean dishware
Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and appliances, including coffee makers, mixers, and pans
Clean and sanitize the dishwasher and triple sink at the end of shifts
Sweep and mop floors, maintaining a safe and clean workspace at all times
Take out trash and rinse garbage cans as needed
Support your team with additional tasks to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Line Cook Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards
Execute dishes efficiently, accurately, and consistently
Ensure excellent presentation and quality control
Communicate effectively with the kitchen team to keep service running smoothly
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Strong problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills
Ability to stand or walk for 8-hour shifts and lift at least 20 pounds
Commitment to following food safety and sanitation procedures
Must be at least 18 years old
Schedule & Availability
morning, afternoon, and evening shiftsÂ
Weekend availability required
Hours of operation are Monday- Wednesday 4 p.m. - 9 p.m., Friday 11 a.m. - 10 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. - 10 p.m., and Sunday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Â
Holiday availability required, except Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas
Pay
$15.00 – $17.00 per hour, based on experience
