Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement credit risk policies and frameworks that drive sustainable growth in consumer lending.
- Develop and refine risk programs to ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams product, marketing, engineering, compliance, and analytics to deliver actionable insights and decision support.
- Build scalable, repeatable risk solutions that align with business objectives and stakeholder expectations.
- Utilize advanced data techniques and big data platforms to analyze transaction-level data and enhance risk models.
- Continuously monitor portfolio performance, identify emerging trends, and conduct root-cause analysis to inform strategy adjustments.
- Recommend solutions in scenarios with limited data by applying business judgment and strategic assumptions.
- Optimize data collection and processing to provide clear visibility into the impact of new lending initiatives.
- Mentor and guide junior analysts, fostering innovation and best practices in risk analytics.
- Evaluate external data sources and vendors to strengthen risk assessment capabilities.
Qualifications
- 7 years of experience in credit risk, analytics, or related fields, with a strong focus on consumer lending.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results in fast-paced environments.
- Proficiency in analytical tools such as Python, R, SAS, and SQL-based environments.
- Skilled in data visualization and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Databricks, QuickSight).
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of translating complex data into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences.
- Strong strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution and team leadership.
- Experience in large-scale data projects; product management exposure is a plus.
- Background in financial services, fintech, or risk management with expertise in consumer lending.
- Bachelor s degree in a quantitative discipline (Economics, Statistics, Engineering, etc.); advanced degree preferred.
