Location: San Jose, CA (5900 Optical Ct)
Duration: 6 Months
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Work Type: 100% Onsite (No remote or hybrid)
Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Embedded Software Test Engineer to develop and execute test plans for embedded software, firmware, and hardware-integrated products. This is primarily a software testing role with some firmware and hardware validation. You''ll work closely with engineering and quality teams to ensure product quality through manual and automated testing.
Responsibilities
- Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test protocols.
- Perform manual and automated testing of embedded systems.
- Validate software, firmware, and hardware functionality.
- Troubleshoot defects, perform root cause analysis, and verify fixes.
- Document test results and prepare detailed test reports.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to improve product quality.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor''s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
- 2–5 years of experience creating test plans, test cases, and test protocols.
- 2 years of embedded software testing (manual and automated).
- Experience troubleshooting issues and performing root cause analysis.
- Basic understanding of firmware and hardware testing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using command-line tools.
- Working knowledge of C or C#.
- Medical device/FDA experience.
- Familiarity with 510(k) regulatory submissions.
