Landscape Installation Crew Leader / Foreman
Position Summary
The Landscape Crew Leader is responsible for leading a professional installation crew while representing ProGround Landscaping on every jobsite. This role is responsible for producing high-quality landscape and hardscape projects safely, efficiently, and to company standards.
This is a working foreman position. You are expected to lead by example while managing the crew, communicating with customers, and ensuring projects are completed correctly the first time.
Primary Responsibilities
Crew Leadership
- Lead a 2–3 person installation crew.
- Assign daily tasks.
- Maintain a productive work environment.
- Hold crew members accountable to company standards.
- Train new employees using ProGround SOPs.
Project Management
- Read and understand job packets.
- Verify materials before starting work.
- Establish layout and elevations.
- Ensure work follows ProGround installation standards.
- Complete projects on schedule without sacrificing quality.
Quality Control
Responsible for ensuring every project meets company standards.
Examples include:
- Correct grading and drainage.
- Proper base preparation.
- Correct compaction.
- Straight lines and consistent spacing.
- Clean jobsite throughout the project.
- Thorough final walkthrough before leaving.
Equipment & Tools
- Perform daily equipment inspections.
- Maintain organized trailers and trucks.
- Report broken equipment immediately.
- Protect company tools and materials.
Customer Experience
- Be professional at all times.
- Communicate respectfully with homeowners.
- Answer simple jobsite questions.
- Notify management of any customer concerns.

Every day the Crew Leader should ensure:

Required Skills
- Landscape installation experience.
- Retaining wall experience.
- Paver patio experience.
- Ability to operate skid steers and compact equipment.
- Ability to read grades using lasers and levels.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to pull trailers.

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
