What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapist Assistant position at ProgressiveHealth?
ProgressiveHealth of Indiana is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant to join our amazing team of therapy professionals in Henderson, KY. While previous healthcare experience is a benefit, this position is also open to recent graduates. This position focuses predominately in the outpatient orthopedic department wing of a busy hospital, with occasional floating to the Inpatient department. Weekday PRN PTA needed - no weekend rotation required!
The ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- KY Physical Therapy Assistant license or ability to receive KY PTA license
- CPR certification
This position is responsible for:
- Providing medically prescribed physical therapy treatment for patients suffering from injuries, or muscle, nerve, joint and bone diseases
- Restores function
- Relieve pains
- Prevents disability
- All functions performed under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
