At Progressive Safety, we believe safety isn’t about checking boxes—it’s about people.
We’re looking for a Safety Manager who can step into a project and truly represent safety the right way. This role is less about enforcement and more about influence, communication, and leadership.
You’ll be working directly with general contractors, trade partners, and ownership teams—helping create an environment where safety is respected, understood, and lived out daily.
What This Role Really Is...
*This is a high-visibility, relationship-driven role.*
You’re not just there to “monitor safety”—you’re there to:
- Represent ownership on-site
- Build trust with GCs and subcontractors
- Communicate clearly across all levels of the project
- Help teams do great work safely—not slow them down
If you’re someone who people naturally respect, listen to, and enjoy working with—you’ll thrive here.
What We’re Looking For...
*We care just as much about who you are as what you know.*
You might be a great fit if you are:
- A strong communicator (clear, confident, and respectful)
- Able to work with all personalities—from craftworkers to executives
- Someone with a great attitude and positive presence on-site
- Accountable, reliable, and take ownership of your role
- Honest, trustworthy, and high-character
- A natural relationship builder—not confrontational, but firm when needed
What You’ll Be Doing
- Partnering with the GC and site teams to identify and address safety concerns
- Walking the job daily—being present, visible, and engaged
- Supporting and coaching teams to improve safety performance
- Participating in incident investigations and helping identify root causes
- Leading or contributing to site safety meetings and discussions
- Acting as a liaison between ownership, contractors, and site teams
- Helping ensure compliance with OSHA and site-specific safety standards
Qualifications
- 3 years in construction safety (EHS) roles
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Experience working directly with GCs and subcontractors
- OSHA 500 (or equivalent) preferred
- CHST or similar certifications are a plus
- Data center or mission-critical experience is a plus
- Spanish-speaking is a plus
Why Progressive Safety
We’re not a staffing company—we’re a team of safety professionals.
- W-2 employment (not 1099)
- Full benefits, PTO, and long-term opportunities
- We focus on placing the right people, not just filling roles
- You’re treated like a professional—not a number
Final Thought
If you’re someone who understands that great safety comes from great relationships, clear communication, and strong character—we’d love to talk.
