Occupational Therapist (OT)

Reports To

Director of Rehabilitation

Job Summary

Provides OT evaluations and treatments to patients with functional or adaptive needs to improve independence in daily living.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and establish treatment goals.
• Provide interventions such as self-care training and adaptive equipment.
• Document evaluations, treatments, and progress.
• Supervise COTAs and collaborate with care teams.
• Train caregivers and nursing staff.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Current state OT license.
• Experience in long-term care preferred.
  
  

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities- KSAs

• Knowledge of OT interventions and rehab techniques.
• Communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational ability.
  
  

Physical & Environmental Requirements

• Lift up to 100 lbs with assistance.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• A current state license to practice Occupational Therapy is required and must be maintained in good standing.
• Experience in long-term care or rehabilitation settings is preferred.
