What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Painter position at Progressive Painting?
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Commercial Painter skilled in brush, roll, and spray techniques. Site locations will vary; Pasadena, Valencia, Bakersfield, and surrounding areas.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, airless sprayers, or power tools
- Perform specialized tasks such as caulking, trim.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for surface preparation and finishing work
- Conduct maintenance tasks including touch-ups and repairs on existing painted surfaces
- Follow safety protocols on construction sites and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently within scheduled timelines
Qualifications
- Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, construction painting, or industrial painting environments
- Familiarity with hand tools such as caulking guns, putty knives, brushes, rollers; power tools including spray guns and sanders; welding equipment is a plus
- Experience with plastering, stucco application.
- Construction site experience including safety awareness and adherence to protocols
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
- English Speaking

Pay: $20.00 - $20.50 per hour
