What are the responsibilities and job description for the Graphic Designer position at Progressive Lighting?

About Us

Progressive Lighting is a family-owned company and a leader in residential lighting and home décor, celebrating 60 years of illuminating homes. Our house of brands — Progressive Lighting, Lee Lighting, Savoy House, and LightsOnline — are known for quality, style, and innovation. From catalogs and product launches to national campaigns, our team shapes how our brands show up in the market and connect with customers, designers, and partners alike. Our work and products show up on the shelves and sites of industry giants like Wayfair, Home Depot, and Ferguson Home, giving us national visibility and putting our products in millions of homes across the country.

About the Team

We’re a small but mighty Marketing & Creative team working across B2B, B2C, print, digital, e-commerce, and event channels. If it sells a product or tells our story, we make it happen. We move fast, collaborate closely, and deliver sharp, high-quality creative that keeps our brands at the forefront of the industry.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Graphic Designer with expert-level Photoshop and photo-editing skills to supercharge our production output. You’ll focus on creating polished, realistic product mockups and lifestyle imagery that showcase our lighting and home décor across all marketing channels. Beyond photo work, you’ll design and produce assets for catalogs, social media, digital campaigns, print collateral, and event materials.

In this role, you will:

  • Create realistic product and lifestyle imagery that highlights our collections
  • Retouch and edit photos with expert precision for a professional, natural finish
  • Prepare files for catalogs, print, and digital platforms
  • Build and adapt templates and marketing materials quickly and accurately
  • Take on a wide range of design projects, from catalog layouts to marketing campaigns, ensuring consistency and brand alignment across every channel

We’re looking for a versatile designer with proven real-world skills — someone who can move fast, work smart, and jump in wherever needed. Agency experience is preferred, but we’re also open to new grads with killer portfolios and in-house professionals. You’ll report to the Creative Marketing Director and collaborate with a close-knit team that values creativity, quality, and efficiency.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud software (Photoshop, InDesign & Illustrator required; multimedia tools a plus)
  • Photoshop pro with a knack for photo-editing, product mockups, and immersive room scene design
  • Expert understanding of typography, layout, and color theories
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field / experience
  • A striking portfolio showcasing a well-rounded design and editing background – required with application

  • Thrive in a supportive, collaborative team culture where your contributions make a visible impact
  • Competitive pay and benefits: medical, dental, vision, 401(k), FSA, paid time off, holidays, employee discounts, and more.
