Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, cranes, and other machinery to perform scrap metal processing, grading, lifting, moving, loading and material handling tasks.
- Safely maneuver vehicles including semi trucks, roll-off trucks, and open top trucks across job sites.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on all equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Collaborate with team members to execute site preparation, sorting, grading, cutting and processing ready made material activities efficiently.
- Follow all safety protocols and site regulations to maintain a secure work environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as loaders, excavators, cranes, shears, and related machinery.
- Construction/Demolition site experience with a strong understanding of safety procedures and site protocols.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform basic maintenance.
- Valid commercial driver’s license with experience driving heavy vehicles like dump trucks or tanker trucks is preferred.
- Familiarity with construction/demolition tools including shears, loaders, forklifts, material handlers.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety and productivity.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
