Custodial Services Supervisor/Crew Chief

Progressive Directions, Inc. (PDI) is looking for a dependable, hands-on Custodial Crew Supervisor/Crew Chief to lead and work alongside our custodial team.

This is not a position where you simply supervise from the sidelines. The Crew Chief works directly with the team, assigns daily responsibilities, helps complete custodial duties, provides training and coaching, and makes sure work is completed safely and meets our quality standards.

What You'll Do

• Lead and supervise Crew Team Members during assigned custodial jobs
• Work alongside the crew to complete cleaning and custodial responsibilities
• Assign daily tasks and make sure responsibilities are clearly understood
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met
• Train and coach team members on proper cleaning procedures, equipment use, workplace safety, and customer expectations
• Maintain a safe work environment and ensure required safety procedures are followed
• Provide support and guidance to Crew Team Members as needed throughout the workday
• Help resolve workplace concerns and communicate issues to the appropriate PDI supervisor
• Maintain positive relationships with customers and represent PDI professionally at customer locations
• Monitor cleaning supplies and equipment and report replacement or repair needs
• Complete monthly supply inventories and submit requests for needed supplies
• Operate PDI vehicles as required and complete required vehicle documentation
• Complete required documentation including attendance records, timesheets, daily notes, incident reports, supply requests, vehicle logs, and other required records
• Participate in required meetings and training
• Follow PDI policies, procedures, safety requirements, and person-centered practices
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous supervisory, team-lead, custodial, housekeeping, janitorial, or related experience preferred
• Ability to read and follow safety instructions, cleaning procedures, schedules, and written directions
• Ability to complete routine documentation and reports
• Basic math skills
• Valid Tennessee or Kentucky driver's license
• Must meet PDI driving and motor vehicle record requirements
• Must successfully complete all required background and employment clearances
• Must meet applicable health and screening requirements

Physical Requirements

This position is active and requires regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and working throughout customer locations.Employees must be able to:

• Frequently lift and move items weighing up to 10 pounds
• Occasionally lift and move items weighing up to 25 pounds
• Safely use custodial equipment and cleaning supplies
• Work indoors and outdoors depending on the assigned location
• Work around cleaning products, dust, and normal custodial work conditions
