SUMMARY
The SEO & Content Manager is responsible for driving organic growth across search engines, YouTube, and social platforms through strategic content development and distribution. This role owns content strategy, keyword targeting, and organic channel performance within the company’s corporate marketing team, ensuring all content efforts contribute to inbound demand, brand authority, and pipeline growth.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
SEO Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies that align with overall business goals, focusing on increasing organic visibility, traffic, and lead generation
- Conduct in-depth keyword research to identify high-value opportunities, including short-tail, long-tail, and intent-driven search terms relevant to target audiences
- Continuously analyze search trends, competitor performance, and keyword gaps to refine targeting and expand organic reach
- Optimize website structure, internal linking, metadata, and on-page content to improve search engine rankings and user experience
- Partner with web and development teams to ensure technical SEO best practices are implemented, including site speed, indexing, and crawlability
- Monitor SEO performance using analytics tools and adjust strategies based on data-driven insights
Content Development & Management
- Build and manage a comprehensive content calendar that aligns with SEO strategy, marketing campaigns, and business priorities
- Plan content across multiple formats, including blog articles, landing pages, and supporting marketing assets
- Write, edit, and publish high-quality, authoritative blog content designed to rank in search engines and provide value to the target audience
- Ensure all content is optimized for SEO, readability, and conversion, including proper keyword usage, formatting, and calls-to-action
- Maintain consistent content production cadence to support ongoing organic growth and visibility
- Continuously evaluate content performance and refine approach based on engagement and ranking data
YouTube & Video Optimization
- Develop and manage a YouTube growth strategy focused on increasing visibility, engagement, and subscriber growth
- Conduct keyword and topic research specific to YouTube search behavior to inform video content direction
- Optimize all video elements, including titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails, and chapters to maximize discoverability and performance
- Collaborate with the Video Producer to ensure content aligns with SEO and audience intent
- Monitor YouTube analytics, including watch time, retention, and click-through rates, and adjust strategy accordingly
- Ensure YouTube content supports broader marketing initiatives, including campaigns, events, and offers
Content Repurposing & Distribution
- Repurpose long-form content, including videos, webinars, and training materials, into multiple formats such as blog posts, short-form video clips, and social media content
- Ensure consistent distribution of content across organic social channels, including LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook
- Collaborate closely with the Marketing Manager to align organic content with paid campaigns and audience targeting strategies
- Ensure content is structured in a way that supports both organic growth and paid amplification
Authority & Backlink Development
- Develop and execute backlink strategies to improve domain authority and search engine rankings
- Identify opportunities for external linking through partnerships, guest content, and industry relationships
- Build and maintain relationships with relevant industry websites, publications, and partners
- Monitor backlink profile and ensure quality and relevance of inbound links
- Continuously seek opportunities to increase the brand’s authority and credibility within the industry
QUALIFICATIONS
- 4–6 years of experience in SEO, content marketing, or organic growth roles
- Proven track record of improving search rankings and driving organic traffic
- Strong understanding of technical SEO, on-page optimization, and content strategy
- Experience with SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, GA4, etc.)
- Ability to translate data into actionable strategy
- Experience managing or collaborating on website development and UX improvements
- Experience managing and optimizing YouTube as a search and discovery platform, including titles, descriptions, tags, and content alignment with keyword strategy
- Working knowledge of content marketing across social platforms, with the ability to distribute and amplify SEO-driven content
- Understanding of how organic social and video content support traffic generation, brand authority, and search visibility, not just engagement
MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE
The SEO & Content Manager’s work will be deemed to be acceptable when:
- There is organic traffic growth across website and YouTube channels, measured by sustained increases in sessions, users, and engagement
- Measurable improvement in keyword rankings and overall search engine visibility across targeted terms
- YouTube performance metrics trend positively, including views, watch time, audience retention, and subscriber growth
- There is consistent content production across blog, video, and social channels
- Organic content contributes to inbound lead generation, pipeline development, and overall marketing performance
Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
