Position Summary
CSDS is seeking a highly motivated Customer Service Representative / Inside Sales Associate to join our Ventura team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building customer relationships, identifying sales opportunities, and helping customers find solutions to their business challenges. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers while supporting branch sales growth through outbound prospecting, lead qualification, account development, and product promotion.
The ideal candidate is customer-focused, sales-oriented, and energized by working in a fast-paced environment where exceptional service leads to increased customer loyalty and revenue growth.
In This Role, You Will...
Customer Service & Relationship Management
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience across all customer interactions.
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, e-commerce, and walk-in traffic.
- Build strong relationships with existing customers and become a trusted resource for their equipment and technology needs.
- Resolve customer concerns efficiently while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Sales & Business Development
- Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts through cross-selling and upselling products, services, rentals, training, and support programs.
- Support branch revenue goals by promoting new products, special programs, and manufacturer promotions.
- Conduct outbound sales calls to existing and prospective customers.
- Follow up on quotes, leads, open opportunities, and inactive accounts.
- Qualify inbound leads and coordinate opportunities with outside sales representatives.
- Assist with onboarding new customers and expanding customer relationships.
- Maintain consistent contact with customers to identify upcoming projects and equipment needs.
Product & Solution Consulting
- Advise customers on equipment selection, applications, software solutions, and accessories.
- Recommend alternative products or solutions that better meet customer requirements.
- Stay informed on industry trends, technologies, and CSDS product offerings.
- Assist customers in understanding the business value of our solutions.
Administrative & Branch Support
- Process sales orders, quotations, rental requests, and customer transactions.
- Maintain accurate customer and opportunity records within our CRM.
- Support branch operations through data entry, reporting, and administrative activities.
- Work collaboratively with sales, service, rental, and training teams to drive customer success.
About You
You are a relationship builder who enjoys interacting with customers and helping them succeed. You are comfortable discussing technology, uncovering customer needs, and identifying sales opportunities.
Qualifications
- 1 years of customer service, inside sales, sales support, or account management experience.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to identify customer needs and recommend solutions.
- Excellent phone presence and customer engagement skills.
- Highly organized with strong follow-up and time management abilities.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Comfortable working toward sales goals and performance metrics.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
- CRM experience (Salesforce, HubSpot, Dynamics, etc.) is an asset.
- Construction, surveying, utility, engineering, GIS, or technology industry experience is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred but not required.
