Journeyman Electrician

We are seeking motivated, skilled and detail-oriented Mechanic Level Electricians to join our team. Electricians will complete various tasks related to the installation of electrical systems and equipment. The ideal Mechanic Level candidate will have many years of experience (5 years to 10 years) in various electrical systems ranging from but not limited to switchgear installation, large/small diameter pipework, transformer installations, basic roughing, fire alarm, lighting installations, from underground work all the way to finishes.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Complete the installation of electrical systems including high voltage and low voltage applications
• Utilize basic hand tools, power tools, large electrical equipment effectively to complete tasks safely and efficiently
• Read blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements and specifications
• Conduct tests using ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to ensure proper functionality of electrical systems
• Follow safety protocols and adhere to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards during all work activities
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, benders, electrical tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively
• Ability to plan work based on blueprints and schematics
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety on construction sites

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school degree or equivalent
• 5 years of experience in electrical systems including switchgear, pipework, transformer installations, fire alarm, lighting, and underground to finish work
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
• Experience using diagnostic tools such as ammeters and ohmmeters
• Knowledge of NEC standards and safety protocols
• Professional manner and appearance
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen
• Self-guided and able to work independently
• Strong organizational skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Climb ladders and work overhead from an elevated position
• Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 pounds
• Frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, twist, crawl, and reach in tight spaces
• Regular grasping and repetitive hand movements
• Visual acuity adequate to differentiate wire colors and work with small wiring and connections

• Ability to mobilize quickly and remain on site for the duration of assigned projects

Travel Opportunities Available (optional):

• Position may involve short-term commercial project assignments nationwide
• Augusta, Georgia is the primary base location for consistent and ongoing work
• Candidates may be willing to work out of the Augusta base between travel assignments
• Airfare, hotel accommodation are provided by the company while on assignment with up to $40 per diem (food expenses)
