What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Lane Attendant / Porter position at Progressive Chevrolet?
SUMMARY
Responsible for cleaning, moving and maintain vehicles while assisting the service department and dealership in various duties and shuttling customers in a company-provided shuttle.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Essential duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Greet and welcome service customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Protect customer vehicles by installing plastic seat and floor covers.
- Perform alignment checks on customer vehicles.
- Drive customer vehicles waiting to be serviced to numbered parking spot
- Retrieve customer cars from parking lot and drive it into technician service bay area.
- Road test vehicles to verify problem exits and that problem was repaired.
- Drive vehicles to different areas of the dealership as directed by management.
- Provide transportation for customers.
- Clear sidewalks and other areas of snow, as directed by management.
- Wash cars as needed.
- Keep work area clean.
- Follows all company safety policies and procedures and immediately reports any and all accidents to a manager.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a valid drivers license with a company acceptable driving record
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
- Ability to communicate well orally and in writing with customers, vendors and other contacts
- Must maintain a professional appearance
