Accounting or Finance Student Interns should expect to learn multiple facets of accounting and finance related processes in a division of a large, public company. This can include but is not limited to property accounting, sales and use tax, financial reporting, accounts payables and receivables functions and/or financial planning and analysis. The student intern will leave this position with valuable skills and industry knowledge.

Key Job Elements
- Preparation and entry of a variety of journal entries (standard entries, accruals, etc.);
- Assist with preparation and analysis of financial statements and supporting reports;
- Perform balance sheet analysis, reconcile various general ledger accounts, and maintain supporting documentation for multiple legal entities;
- Support software system for financial reporting;
- Perform data entry of accounts payable invoices in an accurate and timely manner;
- Communicate with internal and external customers on accounts payable inquiries;
- Perform customer billing activities;
- Complete a variety of financial budgeting and analysis activities;
- Utilize data analytics tools;
- Ensure compliance with department standards;
- Follow established accounting principles and procedures.
Education / Training
- Business related major;
- Accounting Principles Class I & II; preferred.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint);
- Problem solving skills and analytical thinking;
- Ability to work independently and contribute in a team environment;
- Good Interpersonal and communication skills;
- Strong ability to multi-task.
