Progress Inc. has been dedicated to providing day, residential and employment supports to adults with intellectual disabilities and seniors in Nashville and surrounding counties for over 50 years. Our ultimate goal is to promote independence, community engagement and quality of life through individualized, person-centered supports.
We are launching a new service delivery model that will provide therapeutic and mental health supports to this population. The new Thrive Center at Progress will provide psychosocial rehab services and individual and group therapy to people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Currently, there are limited existing mental health/behavioral therapies or similar resources that support people with ID/DD.
Job Summary
We are seeking a Licensed Therapist—LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), or LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor)—to join our dynamic mental health team. We are looking for a great therapist / counselor to lead this new initiative of our 55-year-old non-profit organization.
Thrive will provide program opportunities to support community living skills. These are defined as an array of skills which enable a service recipient to live independently in the community. They include, but are not limited to, skills in the following areas:
independent living, educational/vocational, inter-personal - social, problem solving, financial management, leisure time, mobility and use of community resources.
Responsibilities:
- In this vital role, you will deliver evidence-based psychotherapy and mental health assessments, develop personalized treatment plans, and provide compassionate support to diverse client populations. Your expertise will help individuals navigate emotional challenges, manage co-occurring disorders, and achieve their wellness goals through innovative therapeutic approaches.
Requirements:
- Must be a licensed therapist. LCSW or LPC/LMHC. (Not LMFT.)
- At least 5 years experience providing therapy, with experience providing therapy to people with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
- Experience with PSR (psychosocial rehab) programs preferred.
- Must have experience with adults but working with all ages a plus.
- Must have experience managing additional staff.
Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
