Registered Nurse
Reports To: COO / Nurse Practitioner / Medical Director
Job Summary
The Registered Nurse plays a critical role in supporting the clinical and regulatory operations of our Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment facility. This position is responsible for the placement, reading, and documentation of TB (tuberculosis) skin tests (PPD) under the remote supervision of the Nurse Practitioner and Medical Director. Additional responsibilities include vital sign monitoring, medication documentation support, medical supply tracking, regulatory compliance, and EMR documentation in accordance with HIPAA, OSHA, CDC, and California Title 22 regulations.
Registered Nurse Duties (TB Screening & Clinical Support)
- Place, read, and document TB skin tests (PPD) in compliance with CDC and California Title 22 guidelines.
- Document placement and reading (in mm induration), include photos if required, and submit to the Nurse Practitioner for remote interpretation if necessary.
- Enter results in the EMR.
- Take and record vital signs as needed.
- Report medical concerns to the Nurse Practitioner or Medical Director.
- Maintain clean, organized, OSHA-compliant medical areas.
- Support medication logging and documentation.
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in accordance with HIPAA.
Regulatory Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with:
- California Code of Regulations Title 22
- OSHA medical waste and sharps handling
- CDC TB testing protocols
- HIPAA confidentiality requirements
- Maintain and update:
- PPD administration logs
- Temperature logs
- Disposal logs
- Track, document, and maintain medical inventory, including expiration dates, lot numbers, and stock rotation.
- Prepare documentation for audits, inspections, and annual reviews by the Medical Director, Nurse Practitioner, and COO.
Qualifications
Required:
- Active Registered Nurse license with the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN).
- CPR/First Aid certification.
- Strong working knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, and CDC guidelines.
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
Oversight
- Medical Director: remote oversight and final interpretation of TB test results as needed.
- Nurse Practitioner: provides remote clinical oversight to the RN.
- Chief Operating Officer (COO): oversees operations, QA, ordering systems, scheduling, and conducts internal audits and regulatory reviews.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. of supplies.
- Comfortable working in a clinical environment.
- Pre-Employment Investigative Background Check and Drug Test is required.

- Post-Hire TB Test is required; a post-hire
- pre-employment physical including fitness for duty examination is required.
This is a part-time position, scheduled for Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Salary : $45 - $55
