Overview
We are seeking a Senior Application Engineer to design, develop, and enhance enterprise applications supporting sourcing, procurement, and supply chain operations. This role will be instrumental in building our client’s unified sourcing platform on Ivalua, driving automation across pricing, negotiation, procurement, and purchase order processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead application architecture and partner with product managers, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to deliver scalable enterprise solutions.
- Design, develop, and support microservices, REST APIs, GraphQL services, and web applications using Java, JavaScript, React, Angular, PHP, or similar technologies.
- Build and enhance Ivalua-based sourcing capabilities, including:
- Integrated Price List (IPL/Pricemaster) automation
- RPU automation
- Ship-to rerouting functionality
- Consignment and Drop Ship workflow automation with ODMs
- Develop reliable, secure, and high-performing systems with monitoring and alerting capabilities.
- Design and implement integrations between sourcing, procurement, supply chain, and ERP systems.
- Conduct design and code reviews to ensure scalability, maintainability, and adherence to engineering best practices.
- Drive process automation initiatives that improve PO Automation Rates and reduce manual effort across sourcing-to-PO workflows.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5 years of software development experience with Java, JavaScript, PHP, C , React, Angular, or related technologies.
- 5 years of experience building microservices, REST APIs, and GraphQL services.
- Experience with Ivalua
- Strong experience with MySQL and enterprise application development.
- Experience designing and implementing complex system integrations and transactional workflows.
- Experience with supply chain, sourcing, procurement, consignment, or drop-ship process automation.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Professional fluency in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience modeling data flows and integrations across enterprise systems.
- Familiarity with supplier, ODM, ERP, and logistics integrations.
- Experience in cloud-native architectures, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
Success Metrics
- Deliver key sourcing platform capabilities and automation initiatives.
- Improve PO Automation Rate by eliminating manual steps across sourcing and procurement workflows.
- Build highly available, scalable, and secure enterprise applications that drive operational efficiency.
