Registered Nurse candidates for the Trauma Ortho/Neuro Med/Surg opportunity must meet the following minimum job qualifications:
Education:
Nursing Diploma Or ASN Required, BSN Preferred
Licensure:
Current Florida State RN license or compact state RN license
Current BLS Certification from the American Red Cross (HCA chosen provider) OR American Heart Association is required
Current ACLS preferred; required within 6 months of hire
Experience:
Minimum One Year RN Experience
Customer service abilities including effective listening skills. Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment
Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds

- Provides direct care for patients with complex orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions, and general medical issues, including post-operative recovery and trauma stabilization.
- Key responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessment, medication administration, wound care, patient and family education on rehabilitation, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
- Nurses must possess critical thinking, strong communication skills, and be physically able to assist with patient mobility and equipment handling.
