This role isn’t about showcasing latte art. It’s about helping customers understand why this coffee matters—why it tastes different, why it’s priced differently, and who grew it.

As a Barista at Progeny, your role is to carry the voice of the farmer—through service, storytelling, and precision. You will:

• Prepare coffee and beverages with care, following recipes that respect the integrity of each origin.
• Guide customers through the Progeny experience, connecting them to the people and purpose behind their drink.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization, treating the café like a shared craft space—not a stage.
• Support your team in delivering smooth, consistent service during both calm and busy moments.
• Stay engaged with seasonal offerings, farmer updates, and new product launches.
• Help us build a culture of accountability, humility, and quiet excellence—where purpose leads and ego steps aside.

• You’re drawn to impact work—not just good coffee.
• You see service as an act of respect, not performance.
• You care deeply about quality, and you’re willing to slow down to protect it.
• You show up for your team and stay calm under pressure.
• You’re curious about the story behind what you serve, and you’re eager to share it with intention and honesty.

• Prior barista or hospitality experience is great—but we’re more interested in your values and how you work with others.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Open availability preferred, especially mornings and weekends.
