Traffic Coordinator

Job Description

ProFusion Industries, a highly regarded provider of transit step treads and transit flooring, custom specialty film products and protective linings is seeking a Traffic Coordinator at its ISO 9000 certified Marietta, Ohio manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Order Fulfillment Manager, this position ensures customer orders are shipped accurately and expeditiously in accordance with customer expectations.

Essential Functions:

• Release paperwork to shipping personnel for order preparation, providing them with all necessary packing lists, labels, and paperwork needed.
• Schedule freight shipments with truckload, LTL, small-package carriers, and expediters.
• Enter shipment details into customer portals, if required.
• Seek competitive freight rates and establish network of reliable freight sources.
• Keep organized records of freight carrier contact information including sales representatives, phone numbers, and website log-in information.
• Verify shipping paperwork accuracy.
• Create necessary shipping documents including bills of lading, packing lists, shipping labels, customs documentation, and product certifications.
• Confirm complete shipments, communicating and applying freight charges and tracking information where applicable.
• Enter and maintain accurate finished goods inventory in warehouse locations.
• Investigate and correct discrepancies as found.
• Communicate regularly with production, sales, and other departments, as necessary, to coordinate timely shipments to meet customer requirements.
• Maintain organized files of all outbound shipments in accordance with ISO procedures.
• Be prepared to efficiently find records as needed for audits and other shipment investigations.
• Gather information and documentation regarding any damaged shipments and file freight claims as necessary.
  
  

Desired Skills and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associates Degree in a business-related field preferred.
• Two (2) years of experience and/or equivalent vocational training preferred.
• Experience in a plastics manufacturing facility or similar environment desired.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work effectively with employees, vendors, and drivers.
• Strong computer skills, especially in MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and ERP systems.
• Familiarity with System 21, Wildcat Reports, ZebraDesigner Pro, and Adobe Acrobat Reader preferred.
• Proficient in the use of standard office equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
