What are the responsibilities and job description for the Equipment Operator position at PROFRAC?
Must be technically competent, operationally efficient and experienced in the pressure pumping service delivery process. Must competently operate and properly maintain all assigned equipment. Must work well as part of a team and carry out duties in a manner that is mindful of the environment and the communities while providing the client with flawless service quality and service free of incidents.
Responsibilities:
- Requires rig up, rig down, equipment operation and maintenance of same equipment as directed by supervisory staff.
- Adheres to all well service health, safety and environmental regulations.
- Adheres to all company operational policies.
- Safely rigs up high pressure Iron and hoses as required to perform well service
- Performs routine maintenance on all assigned service equipment.
- Drives equipment to and from locations as required.
- Maintains and submits timely daily driver log reports, equipment/truck reports as well as Individual Vehicle Driver’s Record (IVDRs), and other paperwork as required.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Other Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
- CDL, Class A license or permit, including potential hazmat endorsement.
- The CDL testing must be completed within 90 days of hire date or training may be extended with a review by district or division manager.
- Complete and abide by all Safety Training and other provided training.
- Appropriate communication skills for coordination of the well service activities with crew members and supervisory staff.
- Travel to job location as required. Could include extensive out of town travel.
- Sensitive to confidential information.
- Must work independently and as a member of team.
Mental and Physical Requirements:
- Position Requires/subject to successful completion of functional capacity evaluation quantifying the essential functions of the position.
- May be required to wear or use a respirator in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.134.
- Position may be required to wear personal fall arrest systems and is subject to the limitations as outlined in 29 CFR 1910.140.
- Position may be subject to OSHA Medical Surveillance under 29 CFR 1910.1053.
- Must be able to lift up to 37lbs pounds.
- While performing essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, stand, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel crouch, crawl, hear, talk and smell.
- Able to read, speak and write English.
- Able to work under stressful conditions at times.
- Work conditions are indoors in a normal non-smoking office environment and outdoors under all weather conditions.
- Helping with service restoration during storms may be required.
- Most work schedules will be performed traveling to and working at various field locations within the service territory as required.
- May be required to walk for long distances, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, climb or balance in order to reach high places.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. to meet the needs of the company and its customers.
- Specific vision abilities required include depth perception with the ability to focus. Close vision is needed to work on the computer system.
- Must possess good hearing as needed for work and safety compliance. Noise level could be moderate to very loud.
- Occasionally required to work near moving mechanical parts and equipment.
- Occasionally may drive for three to four hours or more at one time.
- Exposure for potential electrical shock exists for this position.
- Exposure to hazardous or toxic material may occur.
