Lead Natural Gas Operator

General Overview: Responsible for supporting natural gas operations and equipment including pressure reduction and distribution systems. Tasks include supporting the operations of high pressure equipment, providing customer communications and maintaining awareness of environmental and health safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain various field equipment/ systems such as natural gas pressure regulators, separators, various control devices and gas distribution systems.
• Responsible for instructing ProFrac personnel in the proper function and operations of all components of the natural gas field equipment
• Responsible for pre-job meetings to determine appropriate location for equipment.
• Responsible for overseeing proper mobilization and demobilization of equipment, including purging and startup of equipment.
• Responsible for tracking maintenance on equipment.
• Responsible for monitoring parts inventory
• Act as a primary communication link between the operator and management.
• Adhere to required Company Trainings, Policies, and Procedures.
  
  

Other Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two to four years work related skill, knowledge or experience.
• Passionate about reliability and safety – customer obsessed.
• Candidate will be required to do heavy lifting.
• Clean Driving Record.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of pneumatic systems with guidance.
• Will complete work in a competent and timely manner.
• Capable of following instructions from immediate supervisor.
• Effectively communicates, both written and orally.
• Knowledge of fracturing, acidizing, and other industry related preferred.
• General knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
  
  

Mental And Physical Requirements

• Able to read, speak and write English.
• Able to work under stressful conditions at times.
• Bending, lifting, climbing, pushing, pulling, kneeling, sitting stand, walk, kneel, stoop, squat, pull, push, climb, crouch, crawl, talk, hear and see and standing (occasionally) for long periods of time.
• Employee is required to accomplish hard physical labor in many different conditions including lifting equipment.
• Must demonstrate manual dexterity and be able to use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• The essential duties of this position require moderate to heavy lifting. Heavy lifting is exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Exposure to moderate noise levels, vibrations and bright lights.
• Normal physical strength & fitness to handle conditions consistent with crude trucking field operations.
• Exposure to all climate types: hot and cold temperatures, humidity, rain, snow, etc.
• Able to wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection and hard hats when needed.
• Activities may involve being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases.
• Working of irregular hours required.
• Travel, overnight and multiple stay is a requirement.
