Equipment Operator and Laborer

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dependable Equipment Operator and Laborer to join our construction team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, operating heavy machinery and assisting with various labor tasks to ensure smooth and efficient project execution. Duties

• Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and Caterpillar machinery to move materials, prepare sites, and assist with construction tasks
• Drive and manage various trucks including front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and tanker vehicles to transport materials and equipment safely
• Assist with site preparation by performing labor-intensive tasks such as clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up construction zones
• Support concrete work by operating mixers and related equipment to facilitate pouring and finishing concrete surfaces
• Maintain safety standards by inspecting equipment before use, adhering to safety protocols, and reporting any issues or hazards promptly
• Collaborate with team members to complete project milestones efficiently while ensuring quality workmanship
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal operation throughout each shift

Requirements

• Proven experience working on construction sites with familiarity in heavy machinery operation and general labor tasks
• Mechanical knowledge of construction equipment including loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and Caterpillar machinery
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or the ability to obtain one within a specified timeframe for operating large trucks such as dump trucks or tanker vehicles
• Hands-on experience with concrete mixers and other related construction tools
• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, farm machinery, and tanker vehicles
• Strong understanding of construction safety practices and site protocols
• Physical stamina to perform demanding labor tasks in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions
• Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving
