What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Recruitment Specialist position at Profound Research?
Profound Research, a Rubicon Founders portfolio company, seeks to drive clinical innovation through clinical research. Profound enables providers with the right people and tools to launch clinical research operations, often for the first time, to offer new care pathways to patients. Profound Research is looking to build an energetic team inspired by changing how patients and providers engage in clinical research.
Role Description:
- Maintain a thorough understanding of assigned study inclusion/exclusion criteria and utilize these criteria to effectively assess potential participants
- Provide scheduling and study specific guidance to recruitment vendors or contractors to assist in site success
- Develop and maintain working knowledge of assigned indications
- Work to develop and enhance relationships with key business leaders, community-based organizations, and healthcare providers
- Responsible for community based follow-up phone screenings of potential study participants, entering information into the clinical database, and scheduling potential participants for on-site visits
- Delivers presentations, attends meetings and distributes educational materials to both community members and healthcare community
- Make outgoing calls and answer incoming calls from potential study patients and assess preliminary subject eligibility against protocol specific inclusion and exclusion criteria
- Review electronic medical records, patient database, vendor portals and other electronic platforms as required to identify potential study patients and initiate contact
- Ensure accurate collection and entry of patient information into the relevant databases while on the phone
- Update sponsors on prescreening activities and maintain prescreening logs
- Ensure courteous and efficient service is provided to all callers
- Support other members of your team as well as cross-functional team members
- Attend and contribute to department meeting and study specific meeting including Site Initiation visits, recruitment updates with sponsor representatives as needed
Qualifications:
- Associate degree with at least 2 years in a clinical setting or related field, or BS / BA in Life Sciences or related discipline.
- Prior clinical research experience preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication with varied stakeholders.
Special Considerations:
- Located in Detroit Metropolitan Area
- Able to travel if needed.
