The Role

The Personal Care Aide (PCA) provides hands-on support to help clients live with dignity and independence at home. This role requires compassion, attention to detail, and reliability. The ideal candidate takes pride in supporting others, not just through task completion, but through relationship and presence.
Core Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility assistance.
- Support light meal preparation and feeding as needed.
- Provide medication reminders (non-medical) and monitor client wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate daily care logs and communicate updates to the supervisor promptly.
- Follow individualized care plans and report any changes in condition or environment
- Foster a safe, positive, and respectful atmosphere for every client.
- Ensure compliance with confidentiality and HIPAA standards.
Qualifications
- Current CNA or PCA certification preferred (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 6 months of experience in home care, assisted living, or related field.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days).
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
- Excellent communication and time-management skills.
