Position Overview
The Respiratory Care role involves applying principles, techniques, psychology, and theories of cardiopulmonary medicine under the supervision or prescription of a licensed physician or qualified medical director.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy and clinical interventions based on medical plans of care.
- Demonstrate critical thinking, flexibility, and adaptability in patient care.
- Implement procedures as needed for patient treatment.
- Graduate from an accredited respiratory therapy program.
- Current licensure in the practice state.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care.
- Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications (may be obtained upon hire).
- Strong critical thinking, judgment, and adaptability skills.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree, neonatal/pediatric intensive care experience, Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist (NPS) certification.
