Medical Assistant/LPN - Surgery Clinic

Role Overview: Support patient care as a Medical Assistant or LPN within a collaborative ambulatory care team, ensuring a seamless and compassionate patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome patients, support their transition into care, and assist with exams and procedures.
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Perform lab tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Document care accurately in electronic health records.
• Partner with providers and team members to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or Medical Assistant certification, with relevant experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 45 days if not already obtained.
• High school diploma or GED; LPN candidates require advanced training in practical nursing.
• Strong communication, technical, and physical abilities, including lifting and maneuvering patients and equipment.
  
  

Physical & Working Conditions: Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 35 pounds, patient handling, and safety interventions. Exposure to hazardous materials and bodily fluids is possible, requiring protective gear. Must respond quickly to changing patient needs and conditions.
