What are the responsibilities and job description for the Interventional Radiology Tech position at Proforma Health?
Role: Assist in diagnostic and interventional procedures within the Interventional Radiology Department under supervision, supporting a variety of service lines including vascular, cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, and neuroscience.
Responsibilities: Provide a safe, supportive environment for patients of all ages undergoing fluoroscopy-guided procedures, perform multipurpose roles based on patient and departmental needs, and adhere to hospital policies and regulations. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, valid Ohio Radiographer License, ARRT registration, and certifications in BLS and ACLS (or obtain within specified time). Must have strong communication skills and ability to work rotating on-call hours, interacting effectively with diverse populations.
Preferred Skills: At least one year of related experience with advanced ARRT certification in vascular or cardiac interventional radiography, proficiency with diagnostic equipment, understanding of cardiac anatomy and ECG interpretation, sterile technique experience, and operation of C-arm equipment.
Physical Demands: Ability to sit, stand, bend, and ambulate; lift and push heavy loads with assistance; and tolerate exposure to communicable diseases, chemicals, and body fluids.
