Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on fleet diesel equipment, including tractors, trailers, and reefer units.
- Identify root causes of failures and execute repairs accordingly.
- Ensure equipment compliance with licensing and registration standards for roadworthiness.
- Document all repairs and maintenance using the online management system.
- Install, replace, and repair onboard computers and electrical components.
- Inspect brake systems, steering, wheel bearings, and perform routine maintenance such as oil changes and lubrication using various hand and power tools.
- Perform road call services as needed and perform other related duties.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair, including preventative maintenance, diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and A/C refrigeration.
- Proficient with computerized diagnostics and electronic components.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment effectively.
