Role: The Float Patient Care Technician (PCT/CCHT) provides care to patients with end-stage renal disease, supporting clinical staff during dialysis treatments to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.
Responsibilities: Participate in infection control, risk management, and patient education activities; guide new patients through education plans; record vital signs and machine readings; set up and break down dialysis systems; monitor patients, document changes, and communicate concerns; calculate dry weight; prioritize care; maintain patient privacy; track inventory; perform laboratory work under RN supervision.
Qualifications & Skills: High school diploma or GED required; healthcare experience preferred but not necessary. Skills include excellent communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and a desire to collaborate.
