Job Description:
We are currently seeking skilled and experienced Sheet Metal Mechanics / Journeymen to join our team. As a Sheet Metal Mechanic, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, installing, and maintaining HVAC duct systems and other related sheet metal products. Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate, assemble, install, and maintain ductwork for HVAC systems according to blueprints and specifications.
- Measure and cut sheet metal using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Ensure the proper fitting of sheet metal components and ductwork.
- Install and secure ductwork in commercial and residential buildings.
- Ensure all work is done safely and up to code, adhering to local and federal regulations.
- Being able to read Blueprints.
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Perform routine inspections and repairs of existing ductwork systems.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with ductwork or HVAC systems as needed.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Duct Mechanic or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork installation, and sheet metal fabrication.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficient with hand and power tools.
- Good understanding of safety protocols and building codes.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Certification in HVAC or related field is a plus (but not required).
