What you’ll do
Installers
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate installations.
- Design and implement system layouts for fire alarms and other low voltage systems.
- Conduct thorough construction inspections to verify compliance with safety standards.
- Install fire sprinkler fittings, sensors, and alarm systems using hand tools and power tools.
- Provide field service support, troubleshooting issues, and performing necessary repairs.
- Collaborate with team members on construction projects, ensuring timely completion.
Service
- Maintain detailed records of installations, inspections, and service calls.
- Diagnose fire alarm issues
- Propose solutions to eliminate reported issues
- Troubleshoot and repair circuit issues such as ground faults and open circuits.
- Replace malfunctioning devices
- Replace malfunctioning panel components
- Modify fire alarm programming when necessary
Basic qualifications
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools.
- Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) as it pertains to installations.
Requirements
- Five or more years of related experience.
- Experience with a variety of fire alarm panels (Gamewell FCI, Firelite, & Silent Knight preferred)
- Experience programming fire alarm panels
- NICET FAS certification preferred
- Effective interpersonal and time management skills
- Effective communication skills and ability to work with others
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.

Pay: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour
