What You’ll Be Doing
Overview of Responsibilities
- Own test strategy and quality for embedded Linux applications running on smart medical devices
- Design and execute risk-based test plans covering networking, performance, reliability, and security
- Develop automated test frameworks and harnesses using Python/pytest, shell scripting, and C/C
- Lead validation of enterprise Wi-Fi and hospital network environments, including:
- WPA2/WPA3-Enterprise
- 802.1X (EAP-TLS, PEAP)
- Roaming (802.11r/k/v), VLANs, QoS, DHCP/DNS
- Perform deep troubleshooting and root cause analysis using Wireshark, tcpdump, iperf3, and Linux logs
- Produce clear, reproducible defect reports with packet-level evidence
- Execute exploratory/manual testing and evolve high-value scenarios into automation over time
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Git
- Support release readiness, engineering change control, and production issue triage
- Partner closely with software engineers, product, and support teams
- 5 years of experience in SDET, QA, or Software Engineering roles supporting embedded Linux systems
- Strong coding skills in Python and at least one compiled language (C/C )
- Solid Linux fundamentals (bash, systemd, networking stack, udev, DBus)
- Hands-on experience testing enterprise Wi-Fi and hospital network environments
- Deep familiarity with networking protocols including 802.11, 802.1X/EAP, TLS, DHCP/DNS, VLAN, and QoS
- Proven experience building and maintaining automated test frameworks
- Strong exploratory and manual testing skills
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Git)
