This position focuses on fitting, fabricating, assembling, and welding industrial process piping systems.In this role, every day will bring new challenges, allowing you to apply your expertise to solve complex problems and support critical industries.
The ideal candidate has strong pipe fitting and fabrication skills, not just welding experience, and can independently complete projects from blueprints and isometric drawings through final fabrication.
Key Responsibilities
- Fit, fabricate, assemble, and weld industrial process piping systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, piping drawings, and isometrics.
- Perform pipe layout, measurements, offsets, takeoffs, cutting, beveling, and fit-up.
- Fit piping, fittings, flanges, and related components to specifications.
- Perform GTAW (TIG) root and hot passes and FCAW (Flux-Core) fill and cap welding.
- Fabricate and weld carbon steel piping; stainless steel experience is a plus.
- Ensure work meets ASME Section IX and ASME B31.3 process piping requirements.
- Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality, and compliance with specifications.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of industrial process piping experience.
- Strong pipe fitting and fabrication experience required.
- Ability to independently read and work from blueprints and isometric drawings.
- Proficiency in pipe layout, measurements, cutting, beveling, and fit-up.
- Experience welding carbon steel piping required; stainless steel experience preferred.
- Knowledge of ASME Section IX and ASME B31.3 standards.
- Must successfully pass a 6G welding test using GTAW root and hot pass with FCAW fill and cap.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Strong attention to detail, workmanship, and workplace safety.
- Ability to safely operate fabrication and welding equipment.
Work Schedule & Location
- Location: Broussard, Louisiana
- Work Environment: Shop-based fabrication
- Schedule: Full-time, with overtime based on workload and production needs
Compensation
- Starting pay of $27.00 per hour, depending on experience and demonstrated skills.
