Position Summary
The Finance & Accounting Coordinator will be responsible for managing Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), vendor payment tracking, customer collections, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate has previous experience in the transportation or trucking industry and understands the financial processes that support fleet operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP), including invoice verification, coding, and timely payment processing.
- Manage Accounts Receivable (AR), including invoicing, customer payment tracking, and collections.
- Maintain accurate records of vendor payments and customer transactions.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Prepare financial reports and summaries for management.
- Assist with monthly account reconciliations and closing activities.
- Coordinate with operations, dispatch, and management teams to ensure financial accuracy.
- Maintain organized documentation and financial records.
- Support budgeting and cash flow monitoring efforts.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or finance experience.
- Previous experience in the transportation, trucking, or logistics industry is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
- Experience working with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
