We are a rapidly growing privately owned physical therapy with 5 clinics in west L.A, Van Nuys, Santa Clarita, and Woodland Hills.
Candidates MUST have at least 2 years of managing the medical office, patient coordinator, and insurance verification experience.
Benefits: retention bonus offered, vacation time, and sick days. Health benefits are not offered at this time.
Compensation: Wage will alter based on qualifications and experience.
- Greets warmly and maintains a friendly, welcoming relationship with all patients and clients, including among others, physicians and physician office staff
- Scheduling appointments in person or by telephone.
- Possesses strong telephone skills to answer high volume of patient calls
- Provides patients with an explanation of their benefits and thoroughly answers all questions
- Calls and confirms new patient appointments
- Knowledge of insurance verification (Medicare, Medi-cal, all PPO's, etc)
- Scanning of patient related documents into patients chart
- Entering Patient information into EMR
- Help with checking patients out
- Check patient insurance eligibility and benefits
- Submit prior authorizations for patients' treatment
- Assist with answering patient questions about billing statements and insurance coverage
- Generate insurance claims and submit required documentation
- Assist with resolving rejected claims
- Other office related work, open and close the clinic
- Medical Office Receptionist Skills and Qualifications:
- Multi-tasking, Flexibility, Telephone Skills, Customer Service, Time Management, Organization and Attention to Detail
- Medical Front office experience for at least One year.
- Applicants MUST have a knowledge of Insurance benefits/authorization for PPOs, HMOs, and IPAs.
- Applicants MUST speak English clearly and if you speak a second language that is a plus!
- Applicants MUST have a good knowledge of Excel, Word Document, and have Proficient writing skills.
