Overview
Profitero is looking for a highly strategic Product Catalog Manager with specific experience supporting Amazon product catalogs to support long-term consulting projects across our client portfolio!
The Product Catalog Manager is the Amazon product catalog subject matter expert responsible for end-to-end catalog operations, content maintenance, and defect resolution across CPG clients. In this role, you will manage day-to-day listing execution in Amazon systems, drive scalable processes for bulk updates and audits, and deliver clear reporting and recommendations that connect catalog health to business outcomes. You will be asked to support key catalog projects, translate findings in simple to understand root causes and solutions, and act as an extension and representative of the team to our clients.
This role requires someone who is detail-oriented and possesses very strong interpersonal, creative thinking, and practical execution skills, as well as someone who is comfortable sharing, explaining, and educating internal and external stakeholders on the importance of catalog work. This is a senior-level individual contributor role and will be expected to operate independently, collaborate effectively, and partner closely both with clients and cross-functional internal teams.

Compensation Range: $75,050-$115,024. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. Responsibilities
Amazon Catalog & Content Ownership
- Own listing accuracy and completeness across Amazon for ~1,000 SKUs including titles, bullets, images, attributes, variations, compliance fields, and enhanced content where applicable.
- Maintain and execute any catalog changes in Amazon Vendor Central.
- Build and maintain catalog governance: standards, templates, change-control, and QA checklists to ensure consistent, audit-ready execution.
- Monitor and resolve catalog defects including suppressed/duplicate ASINs, missing/incorrect attributes, content policy issues, variation errors, and discoverability/browse problems.
- Own ticketing/escalations and documentation and drive root-cause analysis to prevent repeat issues.
- Run regular content health audits and prioritize fixes based on business impact and client timelines.
- Ensure catalog readiness for new item launches and tentpole events (e.g., Prime Day, holiday), partnering with retail media and account teams on timing and dependencies.
- Produce recurring catalog health reporting (weekly/monthly) including backlog status, defect trends, and action plans.
- Translate findings into clear findings and recommendations for account teams and clients.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on Amazon content best practices and evolving platform requirements.
- Partner with creative, content, and brand teams to gather assets and ensure brand consistency.
- Align with analytics/media teams to support digital shelf priorities and ensure campaigns aren’t undermined by catalog issues.
- Collaborate with operations stakeholders when Vendor Central constraints affect availability or execution.
- Serve as a catalog SME to clients by participating in client meetings, answering questions, resolving issues, and providing strategic and operational guidance and direction as needed.
- 5 years in ecommerce catalog/content operations or digital commerce with specific experience in Amazon catalog management.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, technology, supply chain, or a related field preferred; experience may be substituted.
- Expert-level knowledge of Amazon 1P/Vendor Central environments and common catalog issue patterns.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large SKU counts and bulk changes with high accuracy.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivots, lookups, data validation; comfortable working with large exports).
- Experience with syndication/PIM tools (e.g., Salsify, Syndigo, Profitero) and/or supporting Walmart/Target as secondary channels preferred.
- Familiarity with Amazon reporting tools (e.g., ARA) and basic dashboarding (PowerBI/Tableau) preferred.
- Basic SQL or automation mindset for scaling audits and reporting preferred.
- Ability to identify, synthesize, respond to, and resolve issues and conflicts as they arise.
- Sound decision-making ability rooted in agency, client, and industry knowledge.
- Comfort operating with a high level of ownership, autonomy, and accountability.
- Experience communicating with and presenting to client representatives at all levels on a regular basis.
- A natural sense of urgency with an ability to work quickly, efficiently, and accurately within tight deadlines and constantly-evolving project parameters, scope, and goals.
- Outstanding organizational skills with an extraordinary attention to detail.
- Flexible and adaptable with an ability to manage and drive success across multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities.
