What are the responsibilities and job description for the Produce Merchandiser position at PROFFER PRODUCE?
Proffer Produce has an opening for a part-time merchandising position in Lacross, WI. We are a rapidly growing produce wholesaler, come launch a career with us today!
Schedule 6am-12PM (30-minute lunch required) Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. The days off are Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
Here at Proffer Produce, we want every new potential employee to be the best prepared to take on their new role with us as possible. The following information will give you some insight into the day to day life of a merchandiser with our company. By being informed ahead of time of what the work conditions will be like, what is expected and required of you, we hope this tool will help you decide if you want to move forward into our interviewing process.
Our merchandising positions do require large amounts of lifting throughout your day, you will need to be able to lift up to 50 pounds. You will also need to be able to down stack the pallets of produce that arrive to the stores, an average pallet height is 6.5-7ft tall and can contain 35-40 cases of product, sometimes less, sometimes more. Items will vary in weight as well, but the max is approx. 50 pounds.
Other job duties will consist of making displays to better improve sales of our product, highlight seasonal and sales items. You will be “fluffing” the fresh express salad mixes, making sure that all the produce that is being displayed is up to quality standards, and placing product on shelves in accordance to the stores’ designs/plans. You will also be required to pull bins and pallets onto the sales floor, as well as move existing pallets to make your designs.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
