Junior Contract Specialist

Description:We are seeking a Junior Contract Specialist to provide governmental acquisition support services for current and potential government clients. This role involves supporting procurement teams throughout the acquisition lifecycle, from pre-award to post-award activities. Disclaimer: This posting is for potential and future opportunities. Should our company not secure the award, the position may not become available.Assist with acquisition planning, strategy development, and market researchDraft and prepare contractual documents including solicitations, awards, modifications, and close-out documentation using Electronic Contract Management System (eCMS)Support development of Statements of Work (SOW), Performance Work Statements (PWS), and Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE)Conduct compliance reviews for acquisition documents and formsPerform cost/price analysis, create reports, and assist with contract administrationMonitor Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans (QASPs) to ensure services meet contract requirementsResearch and resolve open obligations/undelivered orders (UDO) for closeoutProvide advisory support to technical experts and stakeholders throughout the procurement processRequirements:Four (4) years above high school from an accredited college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of EducationMinimum of two (2) years of federal contracting experience within the last five (5) yearsAbility to review procurement documents for accuracy and completenessStrong understanding of FAR, VAAR, and agency acquisition policiesProficiency in drafting and preparing contract-related documents and formsAbility to perform and evaluate market research and analyze trendsSkilled in preparing purchase requisitions and procurement packagesExperience with post-award administration and contract closeout processesStrong communication and problem-solving skillsProVets is an equal opportunity employer.
