Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Commercial Vehicle Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience in diagnosing and resolving various vehicle issues. Duties
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, tire service, and brake repair
- Diagnose and repair automotive systems including powertrain, electrical systems, and mechanical components
- Conduct vehicle alignments and suspension repairs
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various automotive repairs
- Work with schematics to troubleshoot complex issues, particularly in ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems)
- Repair diesel engines and perform necessary maintenance on GM vehicles
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery
Experience
- Previous experience as an Automotive Mechanic is required; dealership experience is a plus
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics and repair techniques, including air brake systems, transmissions, shocks & struts, and welding
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex automotive systems
- Familiarity with auto estimating processes and auto body repair is advantageous
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
