What are the responsibilities and job description for the Traffic Control Flagger position at Professional Traffic Control Services?
Professional Traffic Control Services, LLC is proud to be a Woman-Owned, family business. We are currently seeking experienced and unexperienced Traffic Control Flaggers. Flaggers must be constantly aware of both the construction and traffic activity taking place around them. Flaggers have the responsibility for directing the actions of motoring and pedestrian traffic for their safety and the safety of the work crew. Keeping our communities moving is an essential job and you will ensure the safety of the public, yourself, and your crew. If you are not experienced, WE WILL TRAIN YOU!
Job Description is as follows:
- Flagging in designated work zones.
- Use stop and slow paddles to control the flow of traffic
- Loading truck with needed equipment
- Utilize two-way radio to effectively communicate with team-mates
- Complete entire work ticket accurately, making notes of equipment left on site.
- Place high visible signs / channelizing devices, to warn / guide the public.
- Protect all personnel by providing safe, courteous, and authoritative directions to traffic, which are seeking safe passage through the work zone.
- Must be able to cooperate with other employees, lead flaggers, contractors, inspectors, and with the general public.
- Good time management skills, attention to detail and surroundings
- Must be able to work in all weather situations and to hydrate and nourish in a healthy manner to take care of yourself on a daily basis.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Reliable transportation daily to our office
- Valid driver's license
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.75 - $17.50 per hour
