Job Title: General Laborer – Garbage Transfer Station $18.00 hr
Schedule: Thursday through Monday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (Tuesday and Wednesday off)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Laborer to support daily operations at our garbage transfer station. This position involves working outdoors in all weather conditions and assisting with site maintenance, traffic control, and general cleanup to keep the facility safe and operating efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct and manage vehicle traffic entering and exiting the transfer station
Assist customers with proper disposal areas and site navigation
Clean and remove loose trash and debris throughout the facility
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Assist with light maintenance tasks as needed
Perform basic landscaping duties such as trimming, sweeping, and site upkeep
Follow all safety procedures and site rules
Requirements:
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Steel-toed boots and rain gear are required
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift
Strong attention to safety and situational awareness
Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
Dependable attendance and punctuality
