Here at PSG, we are a community-based social services organization seeking passionate individuals to join us as a Youth Support Specialist. As the Youth Support Specialist, you will provide individual skill development and support to youth and adults referred through the Comprehensive Community Services (CCS) Program. You'll help clients achieve their individualized goals by assisting them in their journey toward success. Our program is all about making a difference in the lives of our clients and their families. We offer a range of services including individual meetings, fun recreational activities that build social skills, crisis intervention, school support, and parent contact.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE YOUTH SUPPORT SPECIALIST:
- Evaluate youth and families for treatment needs and refer to appropriate resources.
- Analyze client histories and capabilities to determine services required to control safety threats.
- Provide face-to-face contact with families to ensure safety and cooperation with safety plan and to provide crisis response to deescalate, support and educate. Serve as part of the Safety Team.
- Assess families and refer to any needed community resources.
- Exercise judgment to intervene as an advocate for clients in emergency and crisis situations.
- Safely transport clients as needed.
- Act as a resource to evaluate and determine necessary responses in de-escalating crisis situations with youth and families.
LOCATION: Appleton, WI. Local travel is required to meet with clients within the home or other community spaces, with mileage reimbursement provided.
SCHEDULE: Full-time 40 hours per week

SALARY: $21.00 per hour
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or related.
- Must have reliable transportation on a daily basis, a valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
