Professional Search Group OC is partnering with a growing third-party logistics (3PL) company to identify an experienced and hands-on HR Manager. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of human resources functions in a fast-paced, operations-driven environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and experienced in supporting both corporate and warehouse teams.
Position Overview
The HR Manager will lead and manage all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, performance management, and HR operations. This role requires a strong understanding of HR best practices, California labor laws, and experience working within logistics, distribution, or similar environments.
HR Manager Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruiting efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new hires
- Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and develop effective hiring strategies
- Oversee new hire onboarding and orientation processes to ensure a seamless employee experience
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employee relations matters
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Handle employee relations issues, investigations, and conflict resolution
- Administer and manage HR programs including performance management, benefits, and training initiatives
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data
- Support workforce planning and organizational development initiatives
- Drive HR process improvements to enhance efficiency and employee engagement
HR Manager Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- SHRM Certification a plus
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR Management experience, preferably within a 3PL, logistics, or manufacturing environment
- Bilingual Spanish a plus
- Proven experience managing full-cycle HR functions (recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of California labor laws and HR best practices
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
