Hardware Engineering Manager
Role Overview:
The Hardware Engineering Manager leads a team of design engineers while contributing hands-on to the design, prototyping, and testing of PCBs and PCBAs. This role combines leadership, technical expertise, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-quality hardware products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of hardware engineers.
- Design, develop, and test PCBs and PCBAs with a focus on quality and manufacturability.
- Oversee schematic design, layout, and component selection.
- Manage hardware projects from concept to production.
- Collaborate with firmware, software, and mechanical teams.
- Drive process improvement and adopt new hardware technologies.
- Ensure compliance with customer and industry standards.
Requirements
- 5 years in hardware engineering (PCB design/fabrication).
- 2 years in management or technical leadership.
- Experience with PCBA testing (functional, ICT, boundary scan).
- Proficiency in PCB design tools (Altium, Cadence, etc.).
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
