Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing facilities, and home health environments. Your expertise in physical therapy techniques and patient management will be essential in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.
Duties
- Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Perform therapeutic exercises and modalities, including trigger point therapy, to enhance patient recovery.
- Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising physical therapist.
- Educate patients and their families on care plans, discharge planning, and home exercise programs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress in compliance with medical terminology standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Provide support in various specialties including orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, acute care, and outpatient services.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients during therapy sessions.
Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology as it relates to physical therapy practices.
- Experience in skilled nursing facilities or clinics is preferred.
- Familiarity with discharge planning processes and care plan development.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.

Pay: $21.40 - $30.77 per hour
