Surgical Technician – Ancillary Services
Location: Madigan Army Medical Center, Joint Base Lewis-McChord – Tacoma, WA
Position Type: Full-Time & PRN Opportunities Available

We are currently hiring for both Full-Time and PRN (as needed) Certified Surgical Technicians positions to support patient care at Madigan Army Medical Center, WA.

• Full-Time: Eligible for comprehensive benefits package (health, PTO, holidays, etc.)

PRN Pay Rate

• Up to $41.85/hour (blended rate)

• This rate includes compensation in lieu of benefits, such as PTO and holiday pay

Overview:
PPDG, Inc. is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technician to provide direct support to the Madigan Army Medical Center at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. The Surgical Technician will assist in a full range of surgical procedures, ensuring proper sterile techniques, maintaining surgical environments, and supporting patient safety in a high-acuity setting.

Full Time Schedule:
Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays based on mission needs. Shifts vary between 8, 10, and 12 hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields and instruments.

• Assist surgeons during procedures ranging from routine to high-risk and trauma cases.

• Ensure proper handling, cleaning, and sterilization of surgical equipment.

• Anticipate surgeon needs and respond promptly in emergency situations.

• Maintain accurate surgical counts and ensure patient safety throughout all procedures.

• Support operating room setup, patient transport, and postoperative procedures.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of a Surgical Technology program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES, or completion of a U.S. Armed Forces surgical technology training program.

• Certification: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from NBSTSA, TS-C from NCCT, or a recognized MOS certification in surgical/operating room technology.

• Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Surgical or Operating Room Technician after graduation.

• Required Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
